Graves County cruised past Fulton County, 73-51 in a first round game of the REgion 1 Boys Basketball Tournament last night at the CFSB Center. The Eagles led 21-11 after the first quarter and 39-19 at halftime as Fulton County was never in the game.
Chris Vogt led Graves County with 24 points while Trever Grant had 15 and Jordyn Naranjo had 13. Andreous Smith led Fulton County with 19 points. Davis Major had 12 and Caleb Kimble had 11.
McCracken County beat Marshall County in the other first round game, 47-30. Both teams struggled to score in the early going as the Mustangs led -2 after the first quarter. But by halftime McCracken had a comfortable 17-7 lead.
Tyce Daniel led the Mustangs with 10 points while Aaron Reed led Marshall with 15.
Graves County will play McCracken County in the semifinals on Monday at 7:45 pm at the CFSB Center.
