Belmont's Jacobi Wood announced his intention to transfer to Murray State on Twitter this afternoon. Wood, a 6-2 guard from Cleveland, Tennessee, was a sophomore this past season.
He averaged 19.8 minutes and 6.3 points while coming off the bench for the Bruins in 2021-22. He had 70 assists and just 55 turnovers and he also came up with 26 steals while shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 33 percent from 3-point range.
As a freshman at Belmont he started seven games and reached double figures in scoring 20 times.
In 2020 he was the Tennessee Class AAA Mr. Basketball at Cleveland High School.
