The teams have played five previous times, with UCA winning four of those contests and the teams tying in the other game. A year ago, Central Arkansas led 31-6 at halftime and netted 486 yards of total offense in a 41-13 victory. Shuler Bentley passed for 232 yards and a touchdown for the Racers while Hayden Hildebrand had 286 yards and three touchdowns for the Bears. The game will take place at Estes Stadium, which has a purple and gray striped field.

SCOUTING MURRAY STATE: Murray State began the season with a 49-10 loss to Southern Illinois at home. The Racers struck first with a 25-yard field goal from Gabriel Vicente before SIU scored three-straight touchdowns, including a fumble and interception return for scores. MSU had success in running the ball, gaining 135 yards before sack yardage was calculated. Rodney Castille led the way with 72 yards while D.J. Penick added 42 yards and a touchdown. Buffalo transfer Drew Anderson made his Racer debut at quarterback, completing 17-of-30 passes for 138 yards. Thirteen (13) different players caught a pass for Murray State, with James Sappington catching a team-best three passes. Senior linebacker Quincy Williams had nine tackles (seven solo), 2.0 tackles-for-loss, a sack and forced a fumble.

SCOUTING CENTRAL ARKANSAS: Central Arkansas began the Nathan Brown Era with a 38-27 loss to FBS opponent Tulsa last week. The Bears took a 27-24 lead early in the fourth quarter on a fumble recovery in the end zone. Tulsa countered with the go-ahead score three minutes later and added another score 35 seconds later after a muffed kickoff. Sophomore Breylin Smith completed 17-of-25 passes for 165 yards while also rushing for a touchdown. Carlos Blackman led the rushing attack with 57 yards; he also caught three passes for 16 yards. Juan Jackson had a game-high 16 tackles for UCA. Brown, the first-year head coach, is the most prolific quarterback in UCA history. He served as the program's offensive coordinator the past four years, seeing the team compile a 33-15 record, including 20-5 over the past two seasons.

The Massey Ratings make Central Arkansas a 27 point favorite.
