Dave Winder - When Mick got here you could tell from the start that he had a plan and he was going to get it done, or he was going to die. He was just so committed to what he wanted to accomplish here. And 69 wins in three years, that was a lot of fun. It was a great time to be a Racer basketball fan.
Will Aubrey - I remember talking to Coach Cronin during his final season and he told me that a friend of his had asked him if he was looking at any other jobs and he told the guy, "You're crazy. My predecessor averaged 21 wins and they got rid of him. I can't afford to look at any other job. I've got to focus on this job."
Dave Winder - I remember one night in his first year, it might have been after we had our way with Southern Mississippi. If you remember, Cuthbert Victor was just incredible. There was one game where he had like 20 points and 20 rebounds. He was just unstoppable. I remember after the game Mick saying, "See guys? I told you we were going to be good. Start believing it!" Then he looked at Cuffy and said, "You're the best player in this league. Look at what you're doing, just on an average night." He did a great job of instilling confidence in his guys.
