The Murray High Tigers hots Union County tomorrow night at 7 pm.
Murray comes into the game with a 2-2 record after losing two straight games: 35-14 at Crittenden County and 31-21 to Paducah Tilghman. Union County is 0-3. The Braves lost to Crittenden County in the opening game of the season 28-12.
Murray has relied heavily on running the ball, as they have run it almost twice as often as they have thrown it. Charvelle McCallister leads the Tigers in rushing with 356 yards and fuve touchdowns on 55 carries. Quarterback, Rowdy Sokolowski, has 225 yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries. Brendan Dahncke has 124 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries.
Sokolowski has thrown the ball 68 times with 35 completions, six touchdowns and eight interceptions. Receiver Dijon Miles has a team leading 10 catches for 205 yards and two touchdowns..
Union County is relatively balanced with 88 pass plays and 81 running plays so far.
Corinthian Seales-Portee has 196 yards on 54 carries, which more than the team total because the quarterback, Cannon Sheffer, has lost 67 yards on 15 carries.
Sheffer has completed 44 of 88 passes with five touchdowns and three interceptions. Receivers Ben Shreve and Kristopher Hughes have 229 and 202 yards respectively. Hughes is averaging close to 20 yards per catch.
The Massey Ratings predict a 28-14 victory for Murray High.
