The Calloway County Lakers host Logan County at Jack D. Rose Stadium tomorrow evening at 7 pm. The Lakers come into the game with a 3-1 record. Logan County is 2-2. calloway beat Madisonville 20-10 last Friday while Logan County beat Hopkinsville 31-7. The two teams have not had a common opponent.
Calloway runs the ball 70 percent of the time with 124 running plays and just 55 passing plays in their first four games. Zachary Orange leads the Lakers in rushing with 213 yards and two touchdowns on 45 carries. Kanyon Franklin has 153 yards and three touchdowns on 46 carries and Timarian Bledsoe has 110 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries.
Logan County runs the ball about 2/3 of the time. Wyatt Blake leads the way with 253 yards on 29 carries. Maurice Gordon 153 yards on 25 carries. Both Blake and Gordon have two touchdowns.
Franklin has completed 28 of 54 passes for the Lekrs with two touchdowns and three interceprions.
Logan County's starting QB Braxton Baptiste broke his leg in the second game of the season. But Corbin Rayno has been an adequate replacement. Rayno has completed 15 of 35 passes for 165 yards with three touchdowns and two interception.
The Massey Ratings predict a 28-19 Logan County victory.
