Racers' Heckman and Skarupsky win Player of the Week awards



OVC Players of the Week- Oct. 29 

Offensive Player of the Week

MacKenzie Litzsinger, F, 5-9, R-So., Fenton, Mo. - SIUE

Litzsinger scored three goals over SIUE’s two victories last week. She scored a pair versus Eastern Kentucky, including the game-winner. She also had a goal versus Morehead State. She finished the week with seven shots, five of them being on goal. Litzsinger now has 12 goals for the season.

Defensive Player of the Week

Izzy Heckman, D, Jr., 5-7, Powder Springs, Ga.  - Murray State

Heckman anchored a defense recorded back-to-back shutouts. She played 180 minutes and helped limit the opposition to six shots on-goal. She also recorded a shot on goal versus Eastern Illinois.

Co-Goalkeeper of the Week

Jamie Skarupsky, GK, R-Fr., 6-0, Robbinsville, N.J. - Murray State

Skarupsky earned her first two shutouts of the season last week. She recorded four saves versus Belmont and made two more stops against Eastern Illinois.

 Jensen Schoch, GK, 5-7, Jr., Wildwood, Mo. - SIUE

Schoch did not give up a goal in SIUE’s two shutout victories last week. She made eight saves over the two matches.
