College Basketball: Shaqquan Aaron Commits to Louisville

Recruiting guru Dave Telep announced yesterday that Shaqquan Aaron, a 5-star forward from the class of 2014, has given his commitment to Louisville head coach Rick Pitino. Aaron's height has been reported as 6-6 by some sources and 6-8 by others. He is currently averaging 20 points per game for Ranier Beach High School in Seattle.

The Cardinals' current point guard Peyton Siva and former star Terrence Williams are also from Seattle.

ESPN.com offers this evaluation of Aaron, "Aaron has a frame and a budding skill-set that oozes potential. He handles the ball well in the open court and he's a high-level passer. He does a great job of getting to the rim off the bounce as well."

Aaron picked Louisville over Arizona, UConn, UCLA, and Syracuse among others. 247Sports ranks Aaron as the 15th best junior in the nation.

Aaron is the second player from the class of 2014 to commit to Louisville. Quentin Snider, a 4-star point guard from Louisville Ballard was the first.
